Our story began in the vibrant city of Manado, where the concept of "Mapalus" the local spirit of communal cooperation became our blueprint. Reynard, together with his partners Adit and Alex, founded a modest barbershop driven by a simple yet ambitious goal: to master the art of grooming through collective passion. What started as a small, local space in North Sulawesi quickly became a sanctuary for those seeking more than just a haircut; it became a place where craftsmanship and community met, laying the foundation for a brand built on trust, precision, and the power of collaboration.

Driven by the desire to share this unique philosophy on a larger stage, we made the bold move to Jakarta. Bringing the heart of Manado to the capital, Reynard, Adit, and Alex transformed that early vision into the modern studio you see today. Since officially establishing our Jakarta presence in 2025, Barber Mapalus has evolved from its humble roots into a premier grooming destination. We continue to blend our heritage of teamwork with high-end techniques, ensuring that every client leaves our chair not only looking sharp but feeling like an essential part of our ongoing story.
